A fourth-generation Houstonian who resides in The Woodlands, Brett’s roots run deep. The Stanaker Branch of the Houston Public Library was named after his great-grandmother, Nena E. Stanaker, a civic leader and district judge who served the community for more than 50 years — a legacy of service Brett continues today.

"I was licensed as a Realtor® in 1996, but my interest in real estate began several years earlier while searching for my first home in the Dallas area following the savings and loan crisis.
At the time, many foreclosure properties were being advertised in the Sunday newspaper. I would study the listings, comparing homes based on price per square foot and overall value before deciding which ones to explore.
During that process I realized how much guidance buyers truly need. The bank’s listing agent offered little advice, which made me think: buyers deserve much better insight and service when making such important financial decisions. That experience ultimately led me into real estate sales so I could provide the kind of thoughtful guidance I wished I had received."
